Here is a look at the water drilling outfit that Marc hired to put in some wells around the comunity. (sorry for the side ways view my tech skills need improving).A pic of a well that recently drilled and the well drillers.Haiti Arise is bringing much needed help to the people of Grand Goave and surounding areas.

This is a self portrait by James on the back of Marcedy's moped. It is James' prefered method of travel.

A look at the Samaritan Purse (SP) chopper sitting on the landing area close to the compound. In the seat is a security guard. This piece of equipment costs about 2 million $$$$. SP has 2 choppers 1 jet and about 10 planes at there disposal for there operations around the world. They fly there employees and their stuff around the Country .2 or 3 times a week it stops at Haiti Arise as there is still a large contingent staying with us.We should start a fund raiser for one of these. lol
Take care and see you later David and James
Hi David and James:
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are coming along. Actually, the speed of building projects is actually much like here from what I can gather.
I think we could definitely use a chopper out here. (2 million doesn't sound like much)!!!!! Do you see my tongue in my cheek when I make that statement?
I just found the Haiti Arise blog when the Medical Team was down in October 2009. Very interesting. They'll see a big difference when they come this time I imagine.
The News from the SE26-22-29W2:
Lots of snow last night. The ground is white again. Dad is checking the cows and looking for any calves that may have come overnight and are covered in wet, cold snow.
Here is the obit report for this week: Bob Edwards died and so Dennis, Tom, Jim, Susan,& Linda and their families will be at Kisbey for the funeral this Saturday, as well as the various Edwards cousins I imagine. George Miller also died so Brian, Alice, and the rest of the Miller gang will be in Craik for the funeral on Friday but I won't be in the pulpit for that occasion, I declined citing personal pressures.
Thanks James for the clarification of a tap-tap. Love that FaceBook.
Love Mom
Keep blogging! It is a joy to see the pics and read the stories. May God keep you and shine through you. I look forward to the day when we are together again. Missing both of you!
