Here are the cement mixers. I think all the training and lectures about what good cement should be like are starting to pay off. Today they refused to give in to the many requests they had to water down the mix.I was quite proud of them.A small victory. Along with getting a wall built I am trying to pass on a little knowledge that will make the workers better builders.
James had an interesting morning, he went with Marcedy to the bank in the next town. They rode the tap tap. Sorry no pics. It is a big day when we get off the compound. I drove to the gravel pit to buy more sand today.
One of the differences I have noticed between here and home is how easy it is to spend money at home on entertainment. Here our weeks entertaiment consisted of buying 2 soda pops on friday night.
Any info you can give me on the hockey playoffs would be gratefully accepted. The Hatians are more into soccer then hockey.
Thanks for prayer and support.David and James
Good Morning:
ReplyDeleteThe garden is looking good. Boy, what back breaking work in that heat!!!! I don't know how you're doing it. I'll get the goods about the hockey from Uncle Walter, the hockey expert. It's still raining here, over 2 inches now and supposed to rain some more today. It's great for the pastures and crops but the roads are very muddy and soupy in places. The grid roads are getting like wash boards and potholes in the pavement are showing up everywhere. If you were earning any money, it would be a good place to save with so little to spend it on. Hard for us to imagine. (sounds like the good old, old days when I was a child, no place to go, no way to get there, nothing to spend if you did get there.) We're counting the days, everyone is saying, "How many more days until David and James come home?"
14 days, but who's counting???
Love Mom
Because my hubby is a big hockey fan and a big Haiti fan, I have tracked down some info for you...
ReplyDeleteRound 2:
San Jose 2, Detroit 0 (game 3 today)
Vancouver 1, Chicago 1 (game 3 tomorrow)
Montreal 1, Pittsburg 1 (game 3 today)
