Shopping, Skid Steer and Swimming

Greetings, Thank you for checking in.  This blog is from Saturday.  It has taken a bit of time to get it posted with picture.

Today in Grande Goave was a good day. Beth, Rebecca, and Nancy were busy sewing flags for the march through town on Sunday at 2. It is the culmination of 3 days of crusades. It is the first time all the Christian churches have worked together, holding their meetings in the city park.

We had a timely visit from the mechanic based at Samaritans Purse today. He brought his well equiped tool truck (a rarity in these parts) to help us try to get the skid steer moving.

The skid steer is full of sensors and electronics that make diagnostics a challenge. We were not able to make it run but are one step closer as we have narrowed the search.

A big thanks to Vernon, Eldon and everyone else who has been involved in trying to get this critical piece of machinery running.

Does any one knows why the only kind of screws that seem to be availabe here are dry wall screws? I have never seen any drywall since being Haiti.

I am looking forward to getting to the beach this weekend and warmer temperatures of upcoming days. It has been a little cool this week .

Good day and God Bless:

David

PS my heart goes out to all who axre in mourning after team Canada lost to the Russians.
