Down But Not Out

Hello to everyone in the great white north.

Thanks for your prayers. It has been a rough start as I was introduced to a nasty bug of some kind. I have decided if Beth and I ever have another child I am going to name it Pepto Bismol. I am slowly on the mend. Beth is doing fine.

Here is a pic of the wall around the proposed childrens village. Most of the people that were squating here have now vacated the land. The work has pretty much come to a halt on this project as the skid steer has not moved since before I arrived. We are trying to figure out the problem but nothing has worked so far.

Here is a pic of Beth having a good time. Most of the faces are new so far.
Here is Mark moving his Herd much to his daughters delight.

We are very grateful for everyones support and encouragement. There are many activities planned in the upcoming days surounding the aniversary of the earthquake. So look for lots more posts (i hope) in the upcoming days.

Talk to you soon,God Bless
David and Beth

  1. Hi David and Beth:
I don't think I like your choice of names for any grandchild of mine. I'd suggest you rethink that one. Although, Pepto Bismol is my friend too a lot of the time.
I'll send you an e-mail to update you on what's been happening around here. Glad you're feeling better. How come Beth didn't get sick? That's a really good picture of Beth with the kids.
    Love & blessings Mom

  2. Hello from the cold white north indeed!
We are without heat today and Tom is attempting to trouble shoot what is going on since the machine is one year and a week old!! I do believe we are Mr and Mrs Lucky!
But on the bright side it is only -six so it is only 13 degrees in our house!!
I am guessing it is warmer for you there?
It looks like you are not alone very much while you are there?
So know that you are being held up here in the cold north....well not really north but you know what I mean!

  3. Hi Beth & David,
Glad to hear you are back on your feet David. maybe we will have to bring some pepto with us to replenish your supply lol
Vernon wants to know if you can even start up the skid steer. Any idea at all what the problem might be? We are looking for the manuals

The weather is quite nice. I'll take -2 C, any day over -40 or +35C. :)

    Talk to you soon.

  4. Dear Beth and David
It is with great sorrow that I have to inform David that the Russian's beat team Canada yesterday we were winning 3 to 2 and they got three unanswered goals in the third period! This is information given to me by Brodie as I would have not even know who was playing but .... I thought you would like to know.
