Yahoo the cement showed up!!!! It wasn't there when I work was done yesterday so it must have come in the night. I think there are about 400 bags in this batch. The amount here makes about 65 cu yds of cement. What would fit in 7 or 8 ready mix trucks. Since the project began I think about 2000 bags have been used. Every bag weighs 94 lbs . For quick math 94lbs x 2000 bags = 188000 lbs of cement has been moved. Not to mention the tonnes of sand, gravel, limestone, rock, and rebar. This is all done by brute force under the hot sun. It is no wonder that all the guys are in very good shape.
The bottom pic is a shot of the tool shed. It has been organized at least twice since we have been here. There is just not enough room to store everything. Since the earthquake a lot of the tools that were in the tec school are being stored here. This little shed is bursting at the seams.
Having the wall up is a mixed blessing. There is a more secure area but we don't see much of the children and other comunity members as we did when the wall was down. Thanks for keeping up with us.
